Amazing job. Job well done!
On Saturday, NORD lifeguards at Stallings Gentilly Pool demonstrated extraordinary courage and teamwork during a life-threatening emergency. A swimmer lost consciousness in the water and was pulled from the pool with no pulse and not breathing. Thanks to the quick action, CPR, and care from our lifeguards, along with the help of a nurse who happened to be nearby, the swimmer’s life was saved.
We are incredibly proud of these young heroes. Their training, composure, and heart made all the difference. 💙👏

GEMS students had an amazing opportunity today to both learn and help the City of New Orleans prepare for the Super Bowl. As part of a day-long training event, students were mock victims arriving to University Medical Center and attempting to stress the emergency departments ability to triage and handle a mass casualty event. Students had the ability to interact with a variety of healthcare professionals as well as see how they perform initial patient evaluation and stabilization. Thank you to our partners to help us make this happen. Booker T. Washington High School Frederick A.
