Yesterday, our Buccaneers were honored to participate in the Student Civic Leadership Summit, hosted by Orleans Parish School Board District 4 School Board Member KaTrina Chantelle Griffin, alongside student leaders from schools across the district.
The summit was a powerful demonstration of young people embracing their role as engaged, informed, and productive citizens of our community.
Our students had the opportunity to hear from a distinguished panel of judges, including Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson, Judge Teena Anderson Trahan, Judge Ranord Darensburg, Judge Omar Mason, and Judge Racheal Johnson. Their insights provided our students with meaningful perspectives on civic responsibility, leadership, and the role they can play in shaping their communities.
A special thank you to our friends at Edna Karr High School for graciously hosting this important event and to Board Member Griffin for creating spaces where our young people can learn, lead, and engage in civic life.
The future of our city is in good hands. βοΈππ
