The Ceramics area in the Newcomb Art department is pleased to announce the first Post Baccalaureate Visiting Artist – Annabelle Broyles. This new position provides Post Baccalaureate emerging artists a one year residency in the ceramics studio, with free access to materials and equipment and kilns and a modest stipend. Our goal is to help them develop their ideas and produce a body of work, as a springboard into graduate school or a career as a practicing artist. Applications for 2021 will be reviewed in November 2020. For more information contact Jeremy Jernegan or William DePauw.

Annabelle received her BFA degree in ceramics from the UGA Lamar Dodd School of Art in 2016 with a thesis exhibition entitled Belly Aches, and more recently exhibited Fluidform, a solo exhibition in 2019 at Lucky Art Gallery in New Orleans. As visiting artist Annabelle will be focusing on larger scale figurative works, diving deeper in glaze chemistry and expanding her palette of surface treatments.
We are excited to have Annabelle here and look forward to a rewarding year.
