The Outstanding Alumna of the Year is given to an alum who exemplifies Newcomb’s tradition of excellence and exhibits prominence in a business or professional field and in her contributions to the well-being of national, state, or community life.

The Newcomb Young Alumna of the Year Award is given to a Newcomb/Tulane alum under the age of 40 who has exhibited ongoing contributions or achievements.

The Newcomb Community Service Award recognizes an alum with a significant, long-term commitment to community service.

The Newcomb Live Oak Award honors an alum whose teaching, advocacy, or organizing efforts have increased educational opportunities within their community, their region, the nation, or internationally.

Newcomb Trailblazer Award is awarded this year in celebration of Newcomb Institute's 20th anniversary. It’s recipient is recognized for outstanding contributions to the preservation of Newcomb’s legacy.

When Christian Dior unveiled its latest haute couture collection in Paris last week, their creative director cited the work of acclaimed artist and Newcomb alumna Lynda Benglis (NC’64) as a key inspiration! Mark your calendars! From January 20 - May 20, 2027, Newcomb Art Museum will host an exhibition focused on Benglis’ impact of the Gulf South. It will include an exploration of Benglis’s trajectory from LaGrange High School to an undergraduate at McNeese State University and Newcomb College.

We're excited to celebrate her work and the lasting influence of Newcomb alumnae when the exhibition opens next spring.

Hosted in support of the Mussafer Internship Initiative, this event brings together Tulane students, alumni, parents, and employer partners for an evening of networking, mentorship, and professional development.
