Weh can help raise your math ACT score!

College standardized testing can be an overwhelming challenge for many students, especially the Math part! For many students, it is their dreaded subject in class; and even more so on the ACT. As teachers, we often hear about the math section being the area that brought down an overall composite score.

Unlike other sections where answers can be derived from understanding readings or interpreting charts, the 60 questions on the ACT math portion require students to apply skills already learned in Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Math. For many students these subjects were incomplete or watered down because of the Covid pandemic. It is also important to understand the ACT asks questions very differently than a teacher or text book does. An A in math on a report card doesn’t mean an automatic high score in math on the ACT. Is your child ready?

This online class is designed to give a through overview of the skills needed from each math course, and how those topics are tested on the ACT. It will teach the best methods and strategies for answering quickly and accurately, and how to make strong educated guesses on topics they may not have learned fully in school.

Sessions are limited to only 10 students so individual interaction and attention can be given. Ms Weh is energetic and great at breaking down a complex question, so it is easier to understand.
Each student will be provided a soft bound practice book,
with the option to purchase a second copy for $25. The book, along with a calculator and pencils are required for each class. The cost is $250 per session. $100 will enroll your child and the balance is due by the last class.

Let me teach your homeschool child Algebra 1 or Geometry, while helping to get their Math ACT score up! I’m looking for a few more students for Algebra 1 and Geometry homeschool classes. The classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They start at the end of month and go until May. My classes are energetic and creative while still focusing on the needed ACT skills and standards for those maths.
