I am writing to all students in the honors program. If you are planning on graduating this semester (December, 2025) in the Honors Program, please contact Mr. Edwards ([email protected]) so that we can help verify you have
the required GPA (3.25), and four honors courses. Please include your LoLA ID number and we will make sure you receive your Honors Cords. (Note: this is NOT PTK, NSLS, or other honor society. It is not graduating with distinction due to your GPA. It's the Academic Honors Program).

Congratulations and thanks to all who performed and listened to Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace yesterday afternoon. The members of Symphony Chorus of New Orleans and the Delgado Community College Chorus turned in a passionate and engaged performance. Kudos to the many who stepped up to perform vocal solos, too! Our instrumental ensemble (Pati Adams, flute/piccolo; Jonathan Gerhardt, cello; Patrick Smithers and Vance Woolf, trumpets; Jim Atwood and Aaron Smith, percussion Yui Asano, piano; and Jesse Reeks, organ) was brilliant. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked to make this possible. And special thanks to Timothy Cook and the staff and congregation of St. George's Episcopal Church for hosting our concert. On to Messiah in December!

Americans in Paris: A Literary Anthology - Library of America “Among the abundant charms of the anthology are the many instances in which someone from another time describes the Paris we seem to already know. . . . Gopnik, New Yorker staff writer and author of Paris to the Moon, does a superb and pithy job of introducing the writers and placing them in the c...
