Another SEAUX Proud moment (Seaux=So)

Thank you to Harli Jacob (3rd year dental student) and Bryce Arata (4th year medical student) for leading our 2024 interprofessional program with a team of their peers from the LSU Health School of Dentistry and LSU School of Medicine-New Orleans.

We would also like to thank Colette Baudoin, Mike Dicharry, and Tina Patel Gunaldo for their support of pipeline programs focused on the health team.

As we concluded with the 6th student TEAM UP cohort, we are pleased with our continuous quality improvement approach to improve the interprofessional curriculum.

We would like to thank our interprofessional team members in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology professions during their national awareness month.

There is so much to learn from these fields, but I will pick just one:
➡ According to the CDC, "Hearing loss is twice as common in people who have diabetes as it is in people the same age who don't. Even people with prediabetes have a 30% higher rate of hearing loss than people with normal blood sugar levels."

Sarah is the second nursing student at our institution to achieve this honor and joins 9 others since 2021 who have explored and engaged their interprofessional collaborative practice skills beyond the classroom.
