Black History Comes to Life

Like a Night at the Museum movie, Ms. Smith's 6th and 7th grade history classes brought Black History to life this week on the GSS campus. Over the past 5 weeks, students studied key figures in Black History and the Civil Rights Movement, created posters, learned presentations, created costumes, rehearsed, and finally presented to the GSS community. It was a 5 week labor of love for the GSS students and they were proud to impressively show off their knowledge and their creativity to their peers and parents. Thank you GSS 6th and 7th graders for modeling and living up to the strong academic expectations of a GSS scholar.
