A group of rising second-year LSU School of Medicine-New Orleans students led by Dr. Patricia Molina, recently completed a Clinical Medical Spanish Elective in Antigua, Guatemala through our partnership with Universidad Francisco Marroquín. 🌎🩺

Working alongside UFM medical students at Clínicas del Hermano Pedro, our medical students gained hands-on experience in patient care while strengthening their medical Spanish and cross-cultural communication skills.

This immersive elective helps our students build clinical confidence, foster international collaboration, and prepare to deliver compassionate, culturally responsive care.

The modernization project will transform facilities at Louisiana's only dental school, creating enhanced learning environments for students, improved workspaces for faculty and staff and upgraded clinical settings for patients.
