* The mission of Louisiana Dance Roots is to create personalized dance experiences that bring together community, culture, and connection through a culturally grounded, experiential, and partnership-centered approach to Louisiana social dance.

* Louisiana Dance Roots is dedicated to preserving, teaching, and sharing the partner dance traditions of Louisiana. Rooted in the Waltz, Two-Step, Zydeco, and other forms of social dance, each experience brings people together through the music, movement, stories, and traditions that have shaped Louisiana dancing for generations.
* Through private lessons, workshops, community events, and cultural experiences, Louisiana Dance Roots welcomes people of all backgrounds and experience levels to learn the dances, experience the culture, and connect with others while helping carry these living traditions forward.
* Approach (Non-clinical)
* The Louisiana Dance Roots approach invites dancers to learn through listening, feeling, responding, and moving together. Lessons explore music, rhythm, body awareness, and partner connection while encouraging dancers to develop their own natural way of moving.
* Cultural knowledge, stories, and traditions are woven into the experience, offering a deeper understanding of the people, places, music, and communities that have shaped Louisiana’s social dances. Through this approach, dance becomes a way to experience and share community, culture, and connection.
* Louisiana Dance Roots is a non-clinical, cultural, educational, and experiential partner dance practice centered on community, culture, and connection. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or medical treatment.
