TrainingGrounds offers workshops and seminars geared towards parents (caregivers) with children between the ages of 0 to 5. Topics include, but are not limited to: age and stages of development, executive functioning skills, active parenting, brain development and how it is impacted by early life experiences, toxic stress and the importance of play in the learning process.
2. TrainingGrounds cre
ates "We Play" centers in existing community centers and schools. These centers contain developmentally appropriate toys and activities for children between the ages of 0 and 3 that will allow parents (caregivers) and children to experience quality playtime while fostering positive adult-child interactions.
3. TrainingGrounds offers quality professional development opportunities for early childcare professionals and educators with a focus on the "why" and the "science" behind many of the standards they are being asked to implement. Topics include but are not limited to: executive functioning skills, brain development and how it is impacted by early life experiences including toxic stress, and communication and perspective taking. In addition, we work closely with early childcare programs to offer meaningful workshops to their parenting groups.
