Ms. Melerine’s class celebrated her birthday at the end of the day with lots of smiles and fun! They welcomed a very special guest reader for Literacy Week—Ms. Melerine’s brother! He read “The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors” before challenging the class to a game against every student… and even Ms. Melerine! 🪨📄✂️

What a fun day in third grade! 💚💛

Ms. Crifasi's third graders completed their second Socratic Seminar today! 🎤🌊
They have been learning about why and how scientists explore the sea, and today they got to put their thinking into action. They shared ideas, built on each other’s thinking, asked questions, used evidence from the text, and even respectfully disagreed with one another.

Their second seminar showed much more confidence, deeper thinking, and willingness to share their ideas.
