Digital artifacts: sometimes when we 3D scan a building we can't help but capture ourselves in the scan. Alex recently experienced this scanning a rooftop at the University of New Orleans. The result however looks like a rooftop party of Alex clones. 🤣🤣🤣

A couple of weeks ago our team had the pleasure of joining AOS in visiting the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi to view the exhibit on Frank Gehry and Robert Tannen: Art, Architecture, and Ideas. We were absolutely inspired by the glimpse into the process of both artists along with the works of George Ohio, not to mention the Gehry-designed museum itself!

We love historic structures because they give us fascinating surprises! Check out this "beam" we found under the floor of an Uptown renovation we discovered! Its been supporting this historic home for 160 years and looks as fresh as the day it was set!!

Introducing Alex Ratliff, AIA, NCARB, EDAC, our newest Project Manager at Made Design! Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, Alex brings nearly a decade of institutional design experience, including University and Healthcare design, and enjoys designing projects from the scale of urban and campus design all the way down to the scale of individual details. Outside the office, Alex takes pleasure in all things woodworking - ranging from hand tool restoration to custom composters 🗜️🌱

Shea is an award-winning designer who brings a passion for the power of architecture to impact peoples lives into every project he touches. In addition to over a decade of experience in the field, Shea continues to push the boundary of architectural thought-leadership as a current Doctor of Design candidate in a partnership between LSU School of Architecture and Stanford University universities. His research, which explores architectural acoustics and neuroscience, has been recognized internationally by ARCHITECT magazine, ArchDaily, BBC Future, Roca Gallery, Archaeoacoustic III, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and was published in Creating Sensory Spaces: The Architecture of the Invisible. Here at Made, we're eager to apply this research to all of our projects - big and small - and deliver high quality projects that advance the field of architecture.
