Today is Give Like Dolly Day! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Today, we’re carrying that spirit forward.

📚 We invite you to by supporting children in your own community. Find your local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program and discover how you can help put books into the homes of children where you live.

🫶 Help bring books to your community: If the Imagination Library isn’t available where you live, learn how you can help bring a local program to your community. Visit imaginationlibrary.com and select your country from the main menu to explore how to get started.

Every community has an opportunity to give a little love, lend a hand and help a child dream a little bigger.

🦋📚 Today is Dolly Day — 9/25! 💕

What a perfect day to celebrate the kickoff of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Plaquemines Parish!

The Belle Chasse Library made today extra special with storytime, a fun craft, refreshments, and plenty of Dolly magic for our youngest readers. We are so thankful for this partnership and for everyone helping us build a community where children can grow up surrounded by books and a love of reading.

Now we need your help to keep the momentum going!

Louisiana covers 50% of the cost of the program, which means we only need to raise $15.50 per child, per year locally to provide a child with a new book delivered to their home every month.

Every donation helps us get closer to opening enrollment for children across Plaquemines Parish. 📚

📚✨ Something amazing is coming to Plaquemines Parish!

A huge thank you to Plaquemines Parish Government and Plaquemines Parish School Board for working together to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our youngest children. ❤️

Plaquemines Parish School Board and Plaquemines Parish Government are partnering to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our youngest children.

The total cost to provide one child with books for an entire year is $31. Louisiana funds 50%, which means Plaquemines Parish must raise only $15.50 per child per year.
