NOLABOTS ( TEAM #5953) began last year when a 14 year old kid asked his parents if he could build robots. Learning that most FRC teams in the Greater New Orleans were affiliated with specific schools and that there weren't that many teams in existence in our local area, we asked FRC about their interest in a homeschool / community team that would welcome any kid. They gave us an enthusiastic "YES"

Things have been brewing at our build site! We've progressed farther than what's pictured, but that's for another update! For now, though, know that everything is coming together smoothly!

The off-season competition circuit is ON! The first item on the to-do list is the Beach Bot Battle, graciously hosted by FIRST Robotics Team Fusion 364 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Props to the team for not letting the heat get the best of them!
The build season is brief, but that means nothing to our team! We've been meeting weekly to discuss matters relating to our summer competitions and next year's game. Thanks to everyone who has made such a level of communication and productivity among our team members possible.
