☀️⚔️ That’s a wrap on an unforgettable summer at Cav Camp! ☀️⚔️

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible families for your trust, support, and energy this year. Whether your camper joined us for a single week or the entire summer, we hope they walked away with lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. 🎒✨

From high-flying superhero adventures 🦸‍♂️ and mobile video gaming 🎮 to the ultimate Camp Fair 🎪, face painting transformations 🎨, slimy science experiments 🧪, teamwork parachute games 🪂, and water days 💦, our final week was packed with action! We loved seeing those big smiles and thumbs-up over final summer snoballs. 🍧👍

We are already counting down the days until Summer 2027 and cannot wait for all the new adventures we have in store!

Cav Camp Week 7 has gotten off to a great start! We want to share some exciting details and important reminders for the rest of the week.

💦 Thursday: Water Day + Snoballs!
🫧Campers will enjoy inflatables, bubbles, water blasters, water balloons, shaving cream, and more!
🍧Snoball Snack: Please send your camper with $2 in a labeled envelope or plastic bag.
🩱What to wear: Wear a swimsuit under a cover-up (or regular clothes) and shoes that can get wet.
🧴Before arriving: Please apply sunblock before camp.
👚What to pack: Pack a towel and a change of dry clothes.
🚨 Important: Please LABEL EVERYTHING with your camper’s name!

😎Friday: Swimming at JCC!
🏊We will beat the heat with a trip to the JCC pool!
🩱What to wear: Campers (in grades 1st-8th) wear a swimsuit under a cover-up (or regular clothes) and shoes that can get wet.
🧴Before arriving: Please apply sunblock before camp.
👚What to pack: Pack a towel and a change of dry clothes.
🚨 Important: Please LABEL EVERYTHING with your camper’s name!
🛟Swim Safety & Lifeguards: Our counselors will carefully monitor campers alongside the JCC’s professional lifeguards and staff.
📝Swim Test Details:
Upon arrival, campers can take an optional swim test.
✅Pass: Receives a green wristband to swim freely in both JCC pools.
🚫No Test / No Pass: Receives a red wristband. They can swim in the shallow pool without a life vest, or in the big pool wearing a provided life vest.
😎Safety—especially water safety—is our utmost priority. Please let us know if you have any questions.

🎨🌈 TOMORROW IS TIE-DYE TUESDAY! ✌️😎

Get ready to get groovy, Cav Camp families!

👕 What to wear: Have your campers rock their favorite tie-dye gear to camp!
📦 What to pack: Send your camper with a white or light-colored t-shirt (at least 50% cotton) so they can create a brand-new masterpiece with us!

We will handle the mess and send their new creations home in a plastic bag with full washing instructions.

🏅 The Cav Camp Olympics Were a Blast Today! 🏆

High spirits and friendly competition made our full day of Olympic activities an absolute blast!

But the excitement isn’t over yet—we have an action-packed two days ahead to close out the week! Here are your important reminders for Thursday and Friday:
💦 THURSDAY: Water Day & Roman Candy 🍬
The Fun: Water slides, inflatables, shaving cream, bubbles, water shooters, and more!
What to Wear/Pack: Send your camper to camp in their swimsuit and cover-up with sunblock already applied. Pack water-friendly shoes, a towel, and a dry change of clothes in a labeled bag.
Roman Candy Man is Back: Sticks are $1.50 each or 5 sticks for $4.00. Please send cash in an envelope or plastic bag labeled with your camper’s first and last name.

🏊 FRIDAY: JCC Swim Day (Grades 1st–8th) ☀️
What to Wear/Pack: Wear a swimsuit and cover-up with sunblock already applied. Pack water-friendly shoes, a towel, and a dry change of clothes in a labeled bag.
Safety First: Water safety is our utmost priority! JCC lifeguards will administer a swim test to every camper. Campers who pass get a green wristband, and campers who do not pass will be provided a life jacket.

The countdown is over! Tomorrow, our campers step into the arena for a full day of friendly competition, team spirit, and unforgettable memories! 🎉

☀️ Cav Camp Week 5 Recap & Week 6 Sneak Peek!

🚀Week 5 was incredible! Here is a look at how our campers beat the heat and had a blast this week:
🇺🇸 'Merica Monday: Campers showed off their best red, white, and blue with intense games of Capture the American Flag, patriotic elephant toothpaste in STEM, and custom cardboard fireworks!
🎨 Tie-Dye Tuesday: We took this camp tradition to the next level by exploring the core science and design principles behind tie-dye in both STEM and Art!
🎅🏼 Christmas in July: Santa made a special summer stop! Campers baked holly cookies, crafted holiday jewelry, and beat the heat with winter art projects.
💦 Thursday Water Day & Friday JCC Swim: We wrapped up the week cooling off with water slides, bubbles, shaving cream fights, and we are headed to our favorite weekly swim trip to the JCC pool!
