St. Nicholas came to visit our students yesterday. The students have been enjoying learning about winter celebrations around the world this month. What a special treat to arrive at school to have such a special visitor.

Tomorrow is our family field trip to Sugar Roots Farm. The farm is open from 10 am-2 pm. There is a pumpkin patch, gardens, and you can purchase food to feed the animals. They ask for a $6 per person donation (children two and under are free). https://www.facebook.com/sugarrootsfarm

We're so excited to kick off our Fall Season this September! Registration opens July 25th!
The season will run from September 13th through October 25th for children between 2 and 5 years old. Classes will be held in the afternoon after school hours. On September 6th we will be having free classes for your child to try Soccer Shots out and get excited for the upcoming season! Moving Grace Montessori Depending on your school, you can pick up from your coach or we can take your children to aftercare after class.If you are picking up your child from our coach, please bring your ID with you. We use this to verify any adult on the allowed pickup list.

Summer Camp begins tomorrow. We are so excited to kick off fashion and jewelry design week with wear your favorite color day. We still have spaces available for several weeks throughout the summer. Message for more details.

We love our garden. Watering and weeding are a favorite activity.

Gross motor development is so important at this age. Playground time consists of running, jumping, climbing, riding bikes, and playing ball.

The sensorial materials in the classroom allow the student to develop and refine their senses. Photographed below: the cylinder blocks, the color tablets which hone our sense of sight and geometric solids which develops our sense of touch.

Process art is an important part of our curriculum. It allows the child the freedom to explore and express themselves through various mediums.

Moving Grace Montessori School is located in the Lake vista neighborhood of New Orleans. We are a small private school educating our 3-6 year old students using the Montessori Method. We are an inclusive, close knit community that strives to be much more than just a school to our students and the Lake Vista community. The 2022-2023 school year will be our inaugural year as Moving Grace Montessori School. We strive to build upon the traditions of Crescent City Montessori School, our beloved predecessor.
