🐥❤️🖤💚🐥 Thoughtful Thursday: Special Edition! We celebrated Juneteenth a day early, since we will be closed in observance tomorrow. ❤️ We mixed red, black, and green paint, and then cooled off with some ice painting! 💚 We talked about the different colors in Juneteenth’s flag—and that we are all important, unique, and should feel seen and loved! 🖤 We also put the finishing touches on our Father’s Day gifts for the weekend, but that surprise will need to wait until Sunday. Happy, happy Juneteenth and happy happy Dad’s Day from all of us at Little Ducklings! 🐥 ❤️🖤💚🐥

🌈Tinker Tuesday: Artsy Edition!🌈

Today, we mixed some crushed up chalk+water to make CHALK PAINT!! 🌈 We *observed* the chalk melting into the water, creating a fun and colorful way to paint the sidewalks (and Ms. Mary Kate’s porch). 🌈 We just love science and rainbows and can’t wait to explore more of both all month long!

It’s the end of an era! 🐤 Today, we said “See ya later!” to our Mama Duck, our happy helper, and fierce friend, Charlotte! 🐤 Charlotte has truly blossomed during her time here. She is a fast learner, enormously smart, and a natural care-giver. We will miss her so much! “Big girl school” is getting one heck of a jewel in Charlotte, and we are so excited for her to blossom even further. 🐤 Congratulations, Charlotte!

🫟Glub, glub, glub, and splish, splish, splash: today was Purple Day, and we sure had a blast!🫟

We had a FIELD DAY, drawing jelly fish, splashing at our water table, and chowing down on purple grapes (on the vine—our favorite!) 🫟 We topped it off with making our very own jelly fish! Purple Day was positively perfect! So bring on Summer: we’re ready! 🪼🫟🪼

This week the Little Ducklings have a brand new krewe member to introduce to you. He’s wild and fun, he’s always down to share and food is 100% his love language. Welcome, welcome Wayne!!
We can’t wait to learn and grow with you 😊 🐥

🌼 Happy Birthday Vivian 🌼
Vivian is spunky, sassy, sweet and sincere. She gives the BEST hugs. She is also infatuated with the smaller friends in her class, loving and doting on them and showing us that she will make the world’s best babysitter one day! 🌼 We hope this next twirl around the sun is as bright for Vivian as she makes the rest of the world and Little Ducklings! We are so happy that we have a front row seat to her light. Shine on- Vivian and Happy Birthday! 🌼

🎺 It’s Jazz Fest Yall! 🎺

🐥 🎶 Weekend one of Little Ducklings jazzy porch fest!
We enjoyed excavating dinosaurs from our sensory stage, then practiced our gross motor throwing skills at our ball toss stage, and finally we explored our creativity along the sidewalk at the chalk art stage 🎶🐥

A very special 🌎EARTH DAY🌎 to everyone across the globe!

Yesterday we explored earth 🧪science🧪 by mixing food coloring, vinegar & water together. Then we made little valleys & mountains/islands out of baking soda. Using some droppers, we squeezed the solution over the baking soda to create our own bubbly land and sea formations!

Today, we continued exploring 🌎 Earth Day🌎 with a little edible science activity! We ate the whole world…in cupcake form! We hope everybody has a happy and DELICIOUS day celebrating our glorious Mother Earth!
