This week Green Trees students explored the meaning behind Día de los Mu***os. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, these Greenies created a classroom ofrenda through small-group experiences and explored Mexican culture through traditional conchas, a traditional Mexican sweet bread. The experience offered students an opportunity to celebrate cultural identity, family traditions, language, remembrance, and the beauty of learning from one another.
