The instinct is to move straight from vision to ex*****on, and I understand it. Every ED I work with is carrying more than they should be, and the middle of any process feels like time you don’t have.

But the middle is where a strategy gets its footing. Market research tells you what your community actually needs. Partner alignment tells you who’s genuinely ready to move with you. Sustainability planning tells you whether the model holds after the launch grant runs out.

Those three phases are what let Phase 5 succeed.

This is the process we run at CG Consulting — the Catalyst 5. Swipe through it.

If your organization has the vision and you’re working out how to get to the roadmap, that’s the conversation I have most often. It’s worth having early.

August is almost here! Like where did summer go??
High school seniors the Common App is OPEN! Create your accounts and start the process early! Things to have ready:

1.) Resume
2.) Personal Essay/Statement
3.) Transcript (you will be inputting EVERY course taken since 9th grade).
4.) ACT/SAT scores
5.) A list of 10-12 colleges/universities you are interested in
6.) Three recommendations (at least 2 teachers). Ensure you are choosing individuals that you are 100% sure will provide a POSITIVE recommendation. If you are unsure DO NOT add them to your Common App.
7.) Extracurricular Activities and Honors/Awards

Don’t wait START this application now. It takes time and you will want to review it 2-3 times before submitting. Hope this helps
