The TCG provides a space for students to build connections with professionals in the management cons

05/04/2023

Over the past two weeks, TCG has had the privilege of hosting a series of guest speaker events featuring prominent consulting professionals, all of whom are distinguished Tulane alumni. On April 26th, Dr. Beau Pritchet, a Project Leader at BCG, recounted his career path and consulting experiences with our members. On April 27th, we were privileged to hear from Jennifer Glickman and Ilyssa Gainsley, both highly accomplished Accenture strategy consultants. They provided valuable insights into their roles and what it's like to work at Accenture. Finally, on May 2nd, we welcomed Jon Raizon, an Engagement Manager at McKinsey, who graciously shared his expertise with us. We're immensely grateful to all our guest speakers for their valuable testimony and insights into the consulting career path. We look forward to hosting additional events in the fall, so stay tuned for more information!

Congratulations to Max Fellhiemer, Ben Porter, Eric Christenson, Thomas Kim, Charles Jiang, Grace Kelman, Hayden Monahan, and Lexi Block for participating in the Wharton Consulting Group and McKinsey nationwide case competition on April 14th! Both teams were given six days to read a case study, provide analytical insights, and develop recommendations. In addition, both groups attended seminars and panels to gain insights into the life of a McKinsey consultant. We are grateful for this opportunity and will continue to pursue educational experiences for our members. We are also excited to hold our own competition in the near future! Special thanks to the Wharton Consulting Group and McKinsey for organizing the event!

Thank you to all who have attended our first two meetings of the Tulane Consulting Group! We are so grateful to have such supportive members and are excited for the rest of the semester.

We started the TCG to teach the seven essential skills required of a consultant. In our first meeting,  members were taught estimation skills and best practices. In our February 28th meeting, members were taught Brainstorming skills and how to best approach Brainstorming questions during interviews.

Stay tuned for updates on our guest speaker events and introductions to more of our founding members!
