Dillard University Center for Racial Justice hosted the second of a 3 part Workshop Series with our youth entitled “ Repairing the Village”. It was a continuation of our “Where is the Love” Counternarrative Campaign aimed to shift narratives from punitive responses to care-centered protection as the foundation of true safety and well ❤️🔒

Saturday May 30th; Dillard University Center for Racial Justice had the opportunity to accompany students on a tour and dialogue at the Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, La 🖤

Dillard University Center for Racial Justice was honored to sponsor a Mother’s Day Brunch as we acknowledged the Trials and Tribulations of some of our greatest mothers in our region !!

We were honored to have Calvin Duncan throughout the week to have a critical discussion with our Dillard University students to discuss his new book “The Jailhouse Lawyer”

This Mother’s Day, the Dillard University Center for Racial Justice was able to attend the Four Lost Sons opening at the Art Conscious Gallery as we honored 4 moms who lost their sons due to police brutality.

Congratulations to our Dillard University 2026 graduating senior interns. Melanie earned her BA in Criminal Justice and Political Science, and Taniah earned her BA in Psychology.
