We're looking for volunteers to help students build and test their own hydraulic bridges while exploring the exciting world of engineering through hands-on STEM activities.

💵 Undergraduate college students who volunteer will receive a $50 digital stipend!

Students will explore how fluid power works, build their own hydraulic systems, and discover how hydraulics and simple machine technology drives everything from machinery to robotics. To round out the day, participants will build and test their own hydraulic bridge while exploring the power of engineering.

Empowering educators with innovative tools is one of the most impactful ways to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

STEM NOLA | STEM Global Action recently partnered with Key Academy for a professional development session led by our Technology Manager Barry McGuire, Senior Programs Coordinator Sergio Silva, After School Programs Coordinator Keivondra Collins, and Video Production Manager Brett Rosenbach. During the session, educators explored the possibilities of 3D printing and emerging technologies, gaining hands-on experience and practical strategies for bringing these tools into the classroom.

When teachers have access to engaging, real-world STEM experiences, they are better equipped to spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving in their students.
