LCM is partnering again with the New Orleans Public Library and The City Of NOLA's Office of Youth and Families for NOLA Readers 2.0, an engaging literary experience for second graders in public schools within the City of New Orleans. Each second grade class will visit LCM and the main branch of the New Orleans Public Library as well as receive a copy of our selected book. Teachers will also receive a class book and supplemental learning materials designed by educators from LCM and NOPL.

We invite 2nd grade teachers to join us on Thursday, August 31st from 5:00pm-7:00pm at LCM for an on this program. Registration is required. Please visit https://bit.ly/458r31F to learn more about this program and to reserve your spot.

All incoming students, families, and caregivers are invited to LCM's Kindergarten Kickoff on Friday, August 4th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. This free event is geared towards first-time school students entering Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. We will have interactive activities in which children will have the opportunity to practice a few skills that they will be expected to accomplish in this grade. There will also be several organizations present to share their services and programs, including NOLA Public Schools, the New Orleans Public Library, 826 New Orleans, Acorn NOLA, and more. Join us!
