“The FortyFourth” is a Louisiana non-profit corporation based in the Pontchartrain Park area of New Orleans. The organization was founded to provide career-oriented alternative educational opportunities to at-risk youth and facilitate academic enrichment programs for high-achieving young scholars, while simultaneously implementing sustainable economic practices in a redeveloping urban community. he organization will also conduct a variety of educational initiatives aimed at furthering the community’s understanding of local economic development, entrepreneurial ventures, and civic responsibility.
