Martin G. Lillis a lifelong New Milford, CT resident passed away at home Friday August 2, 2019 at the age of 64. Services pending.

Tuesday the 28th at St. Francis is a memorial mass for Damien at 4pm. (thanks Tom Adams) There is also a memorial service in New York City on Sunday, March 18th. Sorry for the confusion and wrong dates!

Our old friend, classmate and respected author Damien Bona passed away today. Rest in peace Day Day. Thanks for the memories.

A childhood friend is the dearest kind. They know your soul, before you are changed by the world into the person you are today. And if you are lucky enough, they remain your friend throughout your life. They are like family members, who know that deep down you are still the same person that you were when you were young. Outward appearces may change but the friendship always remains dear to your heart.

I am one of the lucky ones. I got to share my childhood with Damien. In recent years, I had the chance to reconnect with him. The Damien I remember was there in the man that I came to know. What I loved about him then is what his friends love about him now. I will miss him.

Tom Adams sent me the following post. Please keep Damien in your thoughts and prayers.

"Damien Bona has had a massive heart attack and is in very serious condition. I'm asking a few people to think of him and send some loving intentions."
