🎉 Board Member Spotlight: Stephen Paduano

Stephen Paduano was born and raised in New Milford. He's been on the board of of the John Pettibone Memorial Scholarship Fund since coming home in 2020 after living and working in NYC. He graduated from Georgetown University with dual B.S. degrees in both Physics and Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy after attending Taft in Watertown.

Stephen makes a living helping investors and decision makers digest ideas & technologies and drive and shape our world. He’s experienced as a financial analyst, writer, and communicator. He's an avid backcountry mountaineer, alpinist and skier, enjoys making wine with his Dad [30+ years and running!], being involved with the community at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, enjoying Candlewood Lake and all that New Milford has to offer!

🎓 Congratulations to all of our 2026 Scholarship Recipients! On May 29, 2026, the John Pettibone Memorial Scholarship Fund was proud to celebrate an outstanding group of New Milford High School seniors during the annual Scholarship & Awards Night.

This year was especially meaningful. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, memorial funds, and community supporters, we were able to award scholarships to every student who applied. We are incredibly proud of all of this year's applicants and recipients.

We also extend our sincere thanks to retired JPMSF board members Sarah Conn Herring and Duane Stone for their years of dedication and service to our organization and the students of New Milford. Scholarships were awarded to the class of 2026 in honor of their service.

We also want to thank Modern Plumbing Supply, the NMHS Class of 1995, and the NMHS Class of 1965 for their generous donations towards 2026 scholarships.

With graduation just around the corner, we wish the entire Class of 2026 success, happiness, and opportunity as they begin their next chapter. Congratulations, graduates—we can't wait to see what comes next!
