SVAE is excited to welcome a new Pre-School Teacher Raissa Seeders. Raissa has been gracing the halls of our school as an amazing substitute. Raissa is married to one of our community's favorite mechanics, Jon Seeders, and their daughter Charlotte will be in first grade this year. Raissa and Jon are also SVA Alumni classes of 2011 and 2012.
Raissa joins us with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from James Madison University. She was a reading specialist for Henrico County Schools and Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher at Stanley SDA School. Riassa has a lot of fresh new ideas and excitement about our new school year.

Heads up families of rising fourth graders…

Beginning September 1, 2026, your child can get a free Every Kid Outdoors pass which includes free admission to Shenandoah National Park and more than 2,000 other national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and public lands across the country.

The pass is valid through August 31, 2027 and covers everyone in your vehicle at parks that charge by the vehicle.

It’s free, easy to get, and a great excuse to explore Shenandoah National Park this fall. Learn more and claim your pass at EveryKidOutdoors.gov. Enjoy!

Yesterday the group played for Summerville SDA Church in Summerville, Georgia followed by a delicious potluck lunch. They then headed out to a park to enjoy the nice weather. That evening the kids were able to play some games and then were surprised with one last activity, Collegedale Academy’s gymnastics home show! It has been a great tour but now it’s time to head home. Friday of Bell tour! Today was a busy day! The group was able to perform for two schools. At Ooltewah Adventist School they played outside after the performance with some of the students. And at Standifer Gap Adventist School, Mrs. Reedy got a chance to direct the bells, they taught some of the lower grade students how to play the bells, and then cheered on the school’s chime choir as they tested out our handbells. Their hope is to get a set one day! They then took a lunch break at Little Debbie park and then made a pit stop at the Little Debbie bakery to pick up some goodies. The group then headed down to Summerville, GA to set up for their church service tomorrow and practice their songs. To end the day, they went to Provino’s Italian Restaurant to enjoy some delicious food!
