Bessie Allen Preparatory School Bessie Allen Preparatory School Missions International is a small private self-supporting Christian school located in rural Madison County. B.A.P.S. Mrs.

Its Biblical foundation provides a wholesome education for students to learn academics and practical skills. was started by Bessie Allen in 1955. Bessie Allen always had a passion for education and teaching. While attending Oakwood College in Huntsville, Al., many of her fellow students look to her for guidance. She was the deans assistance. She obtained a bachelor's degree in elementary education

at Oakwood College and a masters degree at Alabama A&M. Allen was her children’s first teacher. Incidentally, she did an excellent job by God’s grace. She was a “real mother” in every sense of the word. Her children NEVER had a baby sitter. She taught them all how to play the piano, type, garden, sew, cook and clean, and study the Word of God. Never a morning or evening passed without the Allen family having family worship. All of this training and talents flowed to the start and fruition of B.A.P.S. B.A.P.S started in the back of the home of Bessie Allen as she home schooled her children. From there the small beginings grew into two buildings. One a school and one a medical missionary building, there are other buildings on the property as well. God has blessed, because B.A.P.S. is a self supporting school. Prayer can change a lot of things. There is so much more to do. We need your support.

Pray for me as I begin a new school session. God is still in the business of educating young and old for His service and I am thankful to be a part of His mission work. I am expecting God to do great and mighty things that I have not seen and I am confident that He will finish His work in us and will prepare these children to remain faithful to Him in these wicked and terrible times. As Daniel and his friends were able to stand amidst all the corruption of Babylon, so God will enable and equip us to stand amid the growing corruption of these last days. So we go forward in the might and power and Spirit of God looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.

One important prayer request is for the school building to be repaired with a new roof, and siding, along with other necessary repairs. There is a great bit of work but nothing is too hard for the Lord. Let us ask GOD to send the labor, materials and funds necessary to improve on this building dedicated to the training of children and for the glory of God.

In the making is a documentary video on Bessie L. Allen and the Bessie Allen Preparatory School. I will post it when it becomes available. Mrs. Allen is still kicking, but not high. She is 82 years old and going strong.

We are preparing for the new school year. Please pray for GOD to send workers into this home missionary field who have a passion for missionary work in training students for this world and the world to come. Thanks to all the supporters that have been faithful all these years (1955 - 2017). One woman's vision has become a reality and by the power of God has opened many hearts to the gospel and stimulated many minds to learn. To God be the glory.
