This October, we are proud to celebrate our principal, Mrs. Keri Smith, and the incredible impact she has made on New Market School.
Mrs. Smith is in her 28th year at New Market School. During those 28 years, she has served our school as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and now, in her 11th year as principal. Few people know New Market the way Mrs. Smith does, and even fewer have given as much to our school and our students.
One of the things that makes Mrs. Smith so special is the way she knows our students and families. She knows our students by name, knows their families, and genuinely cares about what happens in their lives. She has a way of making students, teachers, and families feel known, valued, and welcome.
Under her leadership, New Market continues to be a place where students want to learn and teachers want to work. She has helped build and protect the strong reputation that New Market School has earned, while always keeping the focus where it belongs -- on our students and the people who serve them each day.
After 28 years, Mrs. Smith has certainly left an indelible mark on New Market School. Her leadership, dedication, and love for this school are part of what makes New Market the special place it is.
