WE ARE SEEKING: 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach!

Are you passionate about developing young athletes and building a positive, disciplined team culture? New Lothrop Area Public Schools is seeking a dedicated 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach to lead, mentor, and inspire our 12–13-year-old student-athletes!

Key Responsibilities:

Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development

Plan and run structured, age-appropriate practices focused on fundamentals

Manage team logistics and supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel

Communicate effectively with the Athletic Director, parents, and players

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

Previous experience coaching middle school, club, or sub-varsity basketball—OR playing experience at the high school level

Strong understanding of basketball mechanics, offensive/defensive concepts, set plays, and youth skill development

Ability to effectively teach, motivate, and mentor early adolescent boys

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain before the first game)

Ability to pass a State of Michigan background check/fingerprint clearance

WE ARE SEEKING: Varsity Wrestling Assistant Coach!

Are you ready to help build champions on and off the mat? New Lothrop Area Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Varsity Wrestling Assistant Coach to support our athletes, strengthen our wrestling program, and help lead our team to success!

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and running high-intensity, structured practices

Teach and refine wrestling techniques, conditioning, match strategy, and weight management safety

Support team logistics and supervise student-athletes during practices, dual meets, and tournaments

Foster a strong work ethic, sportsmanship, and mental toughness within the program

Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, student-athletes, and parents

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

Previous experience coaching high school or club wrestling—OR significant high school/collegiate wrestling experience

Deep understanding of wrestling techniques, positioning, mat strategy, and training methods

Strong ability to motivate, mentor, and push high school athletes to reach their full potential

Strong verbal communication and leadership skills

Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to the season)

Ability to pass a State of Michigan background check/fingerprint clearance

The JH Girls Cross Country team finished their conference season with a 3rd place finish at the 3rd MMAC Jamboree at Uncle John's C***r Mill yesterday. The top finishers are in the graphic and the personal bests were earned by Kenzie Jacobs, Gianna Sharpe, Katie Roggow, Callie Carlson, Myah Blaine, and Autumn Servello. Great job ladies!

Top finishers are listed in the graphic and several personal bests were earned: Sydney Knieper, Ava Wenzlick, Aubrey Roggow, Bryanna Parks, Miriam Sharpe, Ava Riehl, Mackenzie Thomas, and Audrey Turnwald.
