Youth voices in action through art!

On April 15th, we were proud to host the Norwich NAACP Robertsine Duncan Youth Council for our Primus Youth Paint Day. Five youth participants (plus one eager young artist!) took part in creating a mural that uplifts history, identity, and community storytelling.

This is what PARJE is all about—empowering young people through public art and civic engagement.

Now we invite the entire community to join us! Our Community Paint Day will take place on April 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 47 Town Street in Norwich (indoors), with painting sessions available at 10 AM, 11 AM, and 12 PM.

Today we celebrate one year since the Reveal of the Sister Mural in Fulton Park, New London, on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022. Lead artist, Marvin Espy, perfectly captures the mural's theme of "Navigation, Safety & Service" with brilliant depictions of three of the most remarkable figures from New London's history:

One of the best parts of our Sister Murals Project is the opportunities it provides us to work with schools. Today we invited students from the Interdistrict School for Arts & Communication (ISAAC) to the site of the New London Sister Mural to speak with lead artist, Marvin Espy.

Afterwards they contributed to our project by adding some color to the park stairs!

It's time! Join us for the official reveal of our New London Sister Mural! We're proud of the partnerships formed with individuals, schools and colleges, community groups, galleries, and of course the municipality, in the City of New London, Connecticut.

The New London Sister Mural, painted by lead mural artist Marvin Espy, has a theme of 'Navigation & Safety' and will feature three figures, from various times throughout New London's history.

We hope to see you at 2PM on Sunday, May 22nd. The hour long event will include remarks, music and even a little bit of history :)
