🚀 Building for the drop!

Mr. Corriveau's Physics students are putting creativity, engineering, and problem-solving to work as they design and build their very own bottle rockets. The challenge? Create a structure that can protect an egg when it's dropped! 🥚

Still in the building phase, students are testing ideas, refining their designs, and applying the principles of physics to prepare for the ultimate drop!

The Darrow community is saddened by the passing of former Head of School Michael Lynn Clarke on August 18, 2026.

Michael served as Darrow’s Head of School from 1991–1994, helping lead the School through an important period of renewal and growth. In his final View from the Mountainside, published in the Spring 1994 Peg Board, he reflected on Darrow’s commitment to community, stewardship, and providing young people with “the possibilities of hope for the future.” We are sharing it in remembrance of his time at Darrow.

Our condolences to his wife, Amy, his family, friends, former students, and all who knew him.

Last Friday was Move-In Day at Darrow, filled with family drop-offs, reunions, and the excitement of a new year beginning!

The day came to a close with a gathering in the 1824 Meetinghouse, bringing our community together as we officially welcomed students back to campus!

The Mountainside is full again! Here's to a great year ahead! 🏔️📚

In just 2 weeks, Darrow Hockey Academy students start the 1st Trimester on the Mountainside on August 17th!

Then, just one week later, comes alive as the Fall Semester begins on August 24th!

From early morning practices and inspiring classes to new friendships, unforgettable adventures and memories that will last a lifetime, an incredible year is around the corner!

Soon the halls, classrooms, fields, rinks, gyms, and dorms will be filled with the energy and community that makes Darrow so special!
