🎒Hey Trojans! Tomorrow's the first day of school! We can't wait to see you and see what new achievements the 26-27 school year brings for you!

Here's a few tips to remember:
👉 Please bring a charged Chromebook and get plenty of sleep the night before.
👉 Doors for students will open at 7:20 am.
🚙If you're a car rider, please give yourself extra time due to expected heavy traffic.
🚌 If you're a bus rider, please be at your stop a few minutes before the scheduled pick up time. You can find your student's transportation information by clicking on the yellow bus icon in PowerSchool.
👉 Students will report their Homeroom first thing Monday morning. Homeroom assignments will be posted along the Main Hall alphabetically by grade. Staff will be available to help point you in the right direction. Bridging students will report to Homeroom first and then transition to study hall until it's time to dismiss to the Bridging bus. CBGS students will need to stop by counseling when you arrive to pick up a copy of your schedule.
👉 We will operate on a regular bell schedule this first week of school.

🕖 Dismissal times for week 1
👉 Students who ride the early buses will dismiss at 2:05pm. The bus will leave NKHS at 2:10pm.
👉 General dismissal for other students will begin at 2:15pm.
❗️IMPORTANT- please make sure you know your bus information. Students who miss their bus will need to call home for a parent/guardian to come pick them up.

🍎 We're so excited to see you tomorrow as we kick off the 26-27 school year. Our faculty and staff are here to help you have a great start!💙🤍

🍎As we wrap up Make a Difference in a Child Month, we are proud to celebrate the many hands and caring hearts behind this meaningful effort. Thank you to everyone who gives their time and talents to help support families in our community.

Sometimes, making a difference begins with something as simple—and as meaningful—as sharing a meal.

Throughout the school year, New Kent High School's social workers, Bridging Culinary students, faculty, staff, and student volunteers come together to prepare and distribute meals to local families in need through the Kids Feeding Kids initiative.

More than providing nourishment, these meals offer comfort, compassion, and the reassurance that our community cares. Every meal prepared and every bag packed is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact in the life of a child. 💙🤍
