In addition to our long-time Freeport Road site for preschool to grade three at Mt. Peter, our students in grades 4-8 attend classes at the Greenwald School site, at the corner of Freeport and Elmtree Roads. Our new building affords us an improved atmosphere while we continue to provide our students a Christ-centered learning community and a solid foundation in fundamentals with a challenging, extensive, and evolving curriculum.

~Culture of moral development and respect
~STEM program, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math includes hands-on science, coding and computer programming, pre-engineering program, advanced math classes, and interest electives
~Strong fine arts program including band, instrumental options, chorus, liturgical music, art, and drama

~A strong language arts program including phonics, grammar, and handwriting components

✝️📚 What a beautiful way to begin a new school year! 💙🙏

Yesterday, our MQA family came together to celebrate Mass and place this new school year in God’s hands. What a blessing it was to see our students, teachers, staff, and families gathered together in prayer! 🥰⛪️

A new school year brings new beginnings, new friendships, new challenges, and countless opportunities to learn and grow. 🌟📖 But most importantly, it reminds us that we never walk this journey alone. We have our faith, our school family, and God guiding us every step of the way. ❤️

As we begin another year at Mary Queen of Apostles, may we learn with curious minds, serve with generous hearts, lead with kindness, and grow closer to Christ each day. 🙏✨

A message from Dr. Rottler:
Dear Catholic School Families,

We are pleased to share some positive news regarding the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.

Over the weekend, the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed the 2026–2027 State Budget. Thanks to the tremendous advocacy efforts of Catholic school families and supporters across Pennsylvania, the EITC Program remains fully funded, with no changes to the program as it currently exists.

When concerns arose earlier this year about proposed legislation that could have significantly impacted EITC scholarships, you responded. You contacted your legislators, shared your stories, and made your voices heard. Your outreach helped demonstrate the importance of this program to students, families, and schools throughout our Diocese and across the Commonwealth.

This outcome would not have been possible without your advocacy. Your voice was heard, and your efforts made a difference.

On behalf of the Diocese of Greensburg Catholic Schools, thank you for your support, your engagement, and your continued commitment to Catholic education. Together, we have helped preserve a vital resource that makes a Catholic education accessible for so many families.

Auditions for the MQA Fall Musical are next Friday!

📌 Everyone must sign up for an audition time using the SignUpGenius—even if you are attending Musical Boot Camp next week. Boot Camp participation does not automatically reserve an audition spot.

Can't make it to the in-person auditions? No problem! If you plan to submit a video audition, please sign up through the SignUpGenius as well under online submission so our drama team knows to expect your video.

🎭 Calling All Future Stars! 🌟

We hope you're all having a wonderful summer! We have some exciting news for our drama-loving students.

MQA will be hosting a Musical Boot Camp the week of July 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for students entering grades 4–8 during the 2026–2027 school year.

Throughout the week, students will build their singing, acting, and stage skills while having fun and making new friends. The camp will wrap up on Friday with auditions for our fall musical. More information about auditions will be sent by email soon.
