Next Tuesday we begin to explore the Gong and the Earth Element!

This course is going incredibly well. There is still time to explore the gong and the elements further. Join us for a powerful course.

* Join Mitch Nur, Mike Tamburo and Thomas Orr Anderson for Gong and the Elements, 5 two-day home-study courses developed to explore Gongs within the framework of The Elements. Participants are invited to take any or all of the 5 Element courses and are welcome to study with us live or at your leisure on video.
* �Created to explore multiple approaches to the Gongscape - from different techniques and playing combinations to energetic experiences, and both philosophical and meditational considerations... to your interaction and relationship to the forces of life within yourself… the forces of the world around you… and the forces of the music that the Gong produces. Gong & The Elements offers many entry points through each Element into creative and spontaneous music making as well as thoughtful and grounded considerations for both you and with listeners…
* �At the heart of this course we will be exploring how each of the five Elements can be used to inspire the imaginations, direct skills, further understanding of the listener and the listening space and how participants can consider new relationships and possibilities in the Soundscapes they create. We will explore playing techniques, interactions, tone, time, rhythm, timbre, layering, blending, sound, silence, nature, psycho-acoustics and listening.
* �This course will inspire creativity, openness, possibility, good listening, confidence, presence, new techniques, interactions, considerations, and both improvisational & compositional skills... to meet the developing needs of the modern Gong players.
* �This course has no audio requirements. You will be practicing in the comfort of your home or studio space under the guidance of three sensitive and experienced Gong players and course facilitators. This course is powered by Zoom.
* �It is recommended that you have a variety of mallets for this course - ie. small mallets, medium mallets, large soft mallets, friction mallets.

This multifaceted, 12-class, 36-hour interactive online home study course will take us on a deep dive into the Magic and Mystery of Sound… from ancient to modern… mystical to scientific… that will inspire any SoundWorker on their journey with Sound.

Created to expand upon many of the many possible frameworks through which to Understand and Work with Sound… by means of exploring a broad variety of perspectives from around the world, throughout recorded history. Mind-expanding and life-changing, this course will take us ever deeper into the mysterious center of Sound. Hold on tight… SoundWork will never be the same.
