It is great sadness that we recognize the passing of one of our most influential alumnae of Mt. Carmel Academy in New Iberia. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco was a 1960 graduate of MCA and she will be forever remembered as a leader in our town of New Iberia and the great state of Louisiana. She always remembered her hometown and how special her family was to her. May she rest in please and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Letter to Mt. Carmel Alumnae

The MCA/CHS/SPC Alumni Association maintains an alumni database of the graduates of all three schools. We use this information from time to time to contact alumni about events such as Homecoming, banquets, Masses, and Reunions and to send an annual alumni newsletter. The MCA/CHS/SPC Alumni Association respects your privacy and, therefore, does not share your contact information with third parties without your permission.

This year, a few MCA alumnae have decided to form Mt. Carmel Alumni Association, LLC to better plan the annual MCA Banquet and keep the alumni involved with all things Carmel. The association is being spearheaded by Raevin Borres-Percle, MCA 1985 graduate. The Mt. Carmel Alumni Association has requested our list of all MCA alumnae and their contact information. Since you, as a member of the Alumni Association, entrusted Catholic High School with your contact information, we would like to be certain to respect your privacy. This information includes your full name, high school graduation year, current address and telephone number, and email address.

We are providing a period for you to notify us if we do not have your permission to share this information. If you DO NOT want us to share your information with the Mt. COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Freshman Reagann Leleux set a school-record in the women’s pole vault and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns track and field team officially opened its 2019 indoor season on Friday in the Ted Nelson Invitational at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

Alumna Michelle Ackal Dabdoub has written a unique cookbook! A 1992 Catholic High graduate, she is the youngest child of Mr. Alfred T. Ackal and the late Mrs. Jeannette Coury Ackal. Michelle holds a degree in Occupational Therapy from LSUHSC and lives in Dallas with her husband and three children. She has always had a passion for cooking, as she learned from her mother. This inspired her to create her own cookbook with both Lebanese and Cajun recipes from her combined heritage. It is now available on Amazon, or you can contact her at [email protected] for a signed copy.

This a wonderful cookbook that has easy and delicious meals for the whole family. This cookbook has amazing recipes with a Lebanese and Cajun French influence. Hope you enjoy from my family to yours!
