We had a party today like only New Hope can do! Thank you to our PTO, our school board, our NHHS Pep Squad, and our central office staff for coming out and celebrating with us.

THIS is what immersive teaching looks like! Our Music activity classes are elevating our ELA classes by extending the learning beyond the classroom... You love to see it!

This week our 3rd Music classes incorporated character traits from "The Wind in the Willows" into their music lessons. Students worked in groups to discuss different characters in "The Wind in the Willows" and composed a theme song that reflected their character’s personality.

🐢 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🐢

Ms. Pringle, our MERIT teacher at NHUE, applied for a pet grant—and we were so excited to receive a turtle aquarium! Our classroom is now home to two red-eared sliders, and we’ve even had a few special turtle visitors from a coworker. 🐢💚

Ms. Pringle turned this exciting opportunity into a hands-on teaching moment and created a whole unit centered around turtles! Students have been researching, observing, asking questions, and learning all kinds of new skills while also developing a sense of responsibility through caring for our classroom turtles.

It has been so much fun watching students become curious, engaged, and excited about learning through real-world experiences! 🐢🔍📚✨

Who knew two little turtles could create such a BIG learning experience?! ❤️

HUGE shout-out to our big sisters at New Hope Volleyball! They have loved on our students in the car rider and bus lines this morning & our kids LOVE IT! We are so thankful to partner with our extracurricular teams at NHHS and provide just a little bit more sunshine and smiles each morning!!!
