Two sessions, two studies, one palette. Left is from two weeks ago — warm spring greens, the tree canopy posterization study. Right is last week at Peace Valley — cooler greens, the lake edge, boats.

Same painter. Same approach. Different subject, different color temperature, different result. That's the point of going somewhere new every week.

We took the atelier outside this weekend.
Nautilia Clerc, Sharon Smith and Marta Jaramillo joined Francofest in Princeton, drawing and painting live in the middle of a French cultural festival — and people stopped. They looked. They asked questions.
