Congratulations to our student athletes who recently competed at the prestigious Adidas Outdoor Track Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A special shoutout to Amora G. ’29, who broke her old school record in the 100m, with a time of 12.30 seconds. She is currently ranked #6 among Freshman Elite Girls in Pennsylvania and #58 among all high school grades in the state in the 100m.

It was truly an incredible accomplishment to compete against top athletes in the country.

Greetings from Sevilla!
A group of Solebury students is spending this time immersed in the culture and life in Sevilla (Spain). This experience brings learning to life beyond the classroom.

Led by Lucienne Knight, Ph.D., World Languages Department Chair and Director of Global Education, and Spanish Teacher Ivone Martinez Oliva, students are gaining new perspectives and building greater understanding between cultures.

Three days in, they have already traveled to many local places to explore life in Sevilla—braving the heat of temperatures soaring to 97°F!

We can’t wait to share more highlights from their trip.

One of Solebury’s commencement traditions is selecting four seniors to address their graduating class. Their speeches reflect on personal growth, who they have become, and how their experiences have shaped them.

As they prepare to begin their next chapter, they shared words of encouragement to those who will follow and demonstrated the confidence they will carry into the future.

We are incredibly proud of our newest class of alumni.

Read a few reflections from the Class of 2026.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎉
Families and friends gathered under the Graduation Oak to celebrate this milestone as 72 students received their diplomas. Tears of joy, hugs, cheers, and laughter filled the day as loved ones traveled from across the country and around the world to be part of the celebration.

The Class of 2026 is moving forward to exciting opportunities. Most will attend top colleges and universities across the country and abroad, while a few have chosen to pursue specialized training and professional opportunities to advance their future careers. Most importantly, these students leave with a solid academic foundation, an understanding that individual success is intertwined with a global community, and a sense of purpose to guide them in the future.

Before graduation, the students enjoyed one last day together at the senior sendoff. They left their mark on campus, painting the class rock, participating in a closing ceremony, and preparing for graduation day.

They have officially joined the ranks of our alumni and will always have a connection and a place to call home.

We are so proud of them and look forward to following their journeys.

Congratulations to Amelia Kroth ’23, recipient of the 2025 Susan Hirschfeld Eckstein GP’22 ’25 Memorial Prize.

A small ceremony was held in the Barn Theater to honor Amelia’s dedication and achievements in the visual arts. Her name has also been added to the award’s plaque that is prominently displayed in our Founders Library.

The Susan Hirschfeld Eckstein GP’22 ’25 Memorial Prize is an endowed award that is given in recognition of dedication and achievement in the visual arts by a Solebury Senior or recent graduate. It was created in 2019 by Susan’s partner, Marty Rosen, to honor her lifetime of kindness and caring for others. It also recognizes Susan’s artistic talents that captured the wonders of life by inspiring with its beauty, putting big smiles on our faces and hearts, and allowing us to see a more hopeful world. A committee composed of Solebury’s Visual Arts Chair, Head of School, Director of Advancement, Director of College Guidance, and a representative of Susan’s family chose this year’s winner from a very talented field of potential recipients.

Amelia currently attends the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and has been selected for an internship with Nordstrom’s Concept Development and Prints and Patterns team.

Congratulations, Amelia, on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

Congratulations to our seniors on the successful completion of their Senior Capstone Experience projects! 👏

At the showcase event, students presented the culmination of three weeks of hands-on learning experiences to fellow students, parents, faculty, and staff.

Students traveled locally and internationally to pursue an incredible range of interests, including studying forestry stewardship, teaching science and dance at local schools, shadowing a doula through different stages of the birth process, working at museums with rare books and manuscripts, exploring autonomous maritime systems, and pursuing many other career paths.

These experiences allowed students to pursue their passions and gave them valuable real-world insights as they prepared for the next step in their journey.

A huge thank you to all of the organizations that welcomed our students and helped make this experience so impactful!

What a way to wrap up the final day of classes with a day full of learning, sharing, and community!

Lisa Pope’s 9th-Grade English students took class outside Mike’s Cafe, celebrating the short stories they wrote after analyzing authors’ craft moves and using those techniques to create their own work.

In the early afternoon, we welcomed special visitors from a petting zoo. Students spent time with bunnies, chickens, goats, a llama, a turtle, and even a cow. Thank you to the counselors, Julie Laing and Jessie Anastasio, for bringing the petting zoo to campus and helping our students de-stress and recharge ahead of finals week.

The day ended with our traditional “Celebrate Summer Concert” outside the Music Center. Solebury’s Rock Band performed classics including “Dancing in the Moonlight,” “Best of My Love,” and “Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Hand," featuring Aum Desai ’24 on alto sax. One of the special moments was watching Solebury’s youngest community members join the band for a performance of Joni Mitchell’s “The Circle Game.”

The day was a perfect reminder of what makes Solebury so special.

Good luck with your exams this week! 📚

The Solebury Theatre Collective (STC) celebrated its 5th Annual Screwy Awards this week. 🎭

More than 50 students who participated in our theatre program throughout the year enjoyed a fun night of silly celebration. From “Set Up for Success” to “Most Likely to Make a BFA Student Cry,” everyone had a blast remembering the year's challenges and victories and honoring our seniors. With snacks, skits, and crazy videos, STC wrapped this season in style.

They ended the night by revealing the show line-up for next season—coming soon to STC’s Instagram!

Our Day of Service was a meaningful opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to volunteer and invest in the community.
You could find students spread out over campus, while others traveled to organizations to volunteer. On campus, they participated in activities such as beekeeping, cleaning out and painting the barn theater, running a thrift & bake sale, packing kits, and making items to donate to organizations. All money raised from the thrift and bake sale was donated to the organization where we participate throughout the year.

A Few highlights from the day:
286 snack bags and 61 rolled utensil sets for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK)
264 sandwiches made for Fisherman’s Mark Food Pantry
80 hospital care boxes packed and decorated for children in the hospital
38 handmade cards for Cardz For Kidz and 14 written Letters for the Love for Our Elders
31 handmade catnip toys and 11 no-sew cat beds for the local animal shelter

In total, students participated in 19 on-campus activities and 16 off-campus service projects. Thank you to Alison Jones, Kim Rubenstein, the Service Society, and SEAC for organizing a meaningful day of service. 🙌
