Creative Writing - Introduction to the Adventure Using the AWA Method
Enjoy writing but don't know where to begin or experiencing writer's block? Join beginner and experienced writers in the spirit of a writing community. During the Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) workshop, participants write in response to provided prompts and have the option to read their work aloud. All writing is treated as fiction to keep the focus on the writing. The AWA method affirms writers by building confidence while creating an atmosphere where confidentiality is respected and maintained. Participants receive positive feedback on what is strong and successful. Responses and writing exercises support the development of literary craft.

It is with sincere regret that we, the Community School of New Hope-Solebury, must announce that we will not hold classes for the Fall 2020 semester.

Since 1978 we have been providing affordable, interesting classes to thousands of our community members, but the impact of Covid-19 has effectively forced us to take a semester off, despite strenuous efforts to find alternative solutions.

The lack of safe acceptable spaces available to hold our classes, the reticence of even our usual advertisers to invest in our brochure during this economic downturn and our own uncertainty about our ability to insure the quality of all new alternative format online classes have combined to lead us to this regretful decision.

We have every intention of restarting in March of 2021 and look forward to seeing you then.
