Today we are sharing another faculty spotlight: Our photo teacher Kelli Abdoney.

"In my personal work I love to capture the narrative of the land, the people that inhabit it and the history that envelops it. I worked in journalism for almost a decade when I lived in Glasgow and the many stories and locations that we covered editorially allowed me to explore numerous genres of photography. My personal love is landscape, in particular the remote regions of Scotland."
"I teach Film I and Film II which is 35mm film photography and involves printing in the darkroom. I also teach introduction to digital photography and a year long advanced digital class. All classes, when numbers permit, are taken on field trips to explore their project topics and then cyclically we hold class critics to show and tell and discuss our work and concepts...Teaching makes me a better artist and I am always learning from my craft, I love interacting with the kids and I particularly enjoy when they find their love for photography through this experience."
