On Tuesday, October 13, Calumet County Deputy Ken Matuszak and K9 Alek took time out of their busy schedules to visit with our middle school's CSI & Law class.
They shared interesting stories about their careers in law enforcement, handed out special gifts, and allowed us to witness Alek’s strength and determination firsthand.

Officer Madison Voecks took time out of her busy schedule to visit with our middle school's CSI & Law class.
She told us about her career in law enforcement, answered student questions, and allowed us to experience some hands-on learning in and around her squad car.

On Friday Mrs. Lahm's PLTW class created prototypes for Ankle Foot Orthoses for middle school students who have cerebral palsy. We created them to not allow the students to walk on their tip toes. Mrs. Skinkis's nephew was the guest speaker and was Diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy as a newborn. Even though William doesn't have CP, he wanted to share what his AFO's look like and how they help him walk.

NHSD Homecoming! MS was able to enjoy the beautiful weather for the parade!
