Our 7th grade SS students are working on their final unit project, in which they need to plan a world trip as a “family” (budget and family size dependent on a spinning wheel), making connections to the theme of continuity and change over time with each historic site they “visit”. Despite a soggy day, GS Envirathon members were able to enjoy the “field” trip to Kelly’s Run Nature Preserve to see the meadows managed there by the Lancaster Conservancy. Ms. Peggy Eppig was deeply impressed by your passion, knowledge, and curiosity! She shared the following photos of our visit.

Congratulations to 8th grade art students Julia Craig, Raylynn Canales, Kelsey Longacre, and Olivia King on successfully completing their Independent Study of Art!
These talented students collaborated to create the beautiful mural now on display in the 300 wing—a lasting contribution to our school’s creative spirit.
We are proud to share that each of them will be recognized Monday evening at the ELANCO District Office Art Showcase for their outstanding artistic efforts and dedication.

⚠️Parents, Guardians, & Community:

On April 17th, a mock crash scene will be staged in the rear of the Garden Spot Secondary
Campus. The New Holland Police Department, New Holland Fire Department, and New Holland Ambulance will be on site, simulating the potentially devastating effects of impaired driving. They will dramatize the collision of two vehicles, the emergency personnel response, and the aftermath of the crash. The participating emergency agencies will be on-site with emergency vehicles, trucks, and life flight to make this an educational experience.

If you're near the secondary campus on April 17th in the morning and see emergency vehicles on campus, please do not be alarmed. We appreciate your support!
