Meet the graduates! 🎓
Tasneem Hussain '26 LLM has traveled around the world during her studies: from her native Sudan to Qatar, the U.K., and Malaysia. Her next stop is South Africa.
"I'm looking forward to spending a year after graduation as a Robina Fellow, serving as a foreign law clerk at the Constitutional Court of South Africa in Johannesburg," she said.
The Robina Fellowships enable Yale Law School graduates to devote a year to human rights work and gain experience in international courts, and are supported by the Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights.

Why does government so often struggle to accomplish big things? And what can we do about it? A new working group at Yale aims to answer these questions.
Yale Law School’s Zachary Liscow and David Schleicher lead the group, along with Yale’s Josh Kalla.

Meet the class of 2026! 🎓
One of Catey Vera's favorite memories here is the Yale Law R***e, the annual student musical that spoofs law school life. This year's production was “Mamma MYa.”
“I especially loved getting to co-direct our law school musical, which featured nearly 100 students dancing, singing, and acting to celebrate all the quirks that make this place so special,” she said.
She added, “ My time at YLS has been some of the best years of my life. I'm so grateful to be surrounded by such brilliant, kind, and multitalented classmates and now lifelong friends.”

Meet the graduates! 🎓
Dezzie B. Ligon III ’26 heads to the Naval Justice School to prepare for his new role in the Marine Corps, where he served before law school. As a judge advocate in California, he will be a prosecutor in the military justice system.
A self-described family man, Ligon said Yale Law School's flexibility let him pursue his education while being a father. (His kids even joined him onstage at Commencement!)
“I was able to have two daughters in law school, with a third child now on the way, and I don’t feel that I’ve missed a beat when it comes to learning,” he said.
In the classroom, he enjoyed his courses in international business transactions and federal tax law.
“Both changed the way I think about markets, incentives, and the economy as a whole, and they were indispensable to my intellectual growth here at Yale,” he said.

Meet the graduates! 🎓
Florian Kriener ’26 LLM heads to Berlin, where he’ll spend his Bernstein Fellowship year at a foundation working with Ukrainian representatives in peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
He’ll remember the discussions he had here about peace proposals for the war with Professor Harold Hongju Koh. He’ll also remember his LLM cohort and the community they built. (A few of them are pictured here.)
“We are 29 students from all continents, each contributing fascinating perspectives on the way legal systems work.”
The most valuable thing he learned at Yale Law School?
“That I should not shy away from having and promoting big ideas.”

Madison Rinder ’26 says one of the best parts of Yale Law School has been learning from her professors.
"I am so grateful to my professors for instilling in me a love of learning about the law, encouraging me in my own research and writing, and challenging me to grow and think critically about legal issues," she said.
