The Engineering Technology Student Internship Symposium celebrated the accomplishments of students who are putting their education into action.
Representing programs across Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Computer, Electrical, and Railroad Engineering, students shared internship projects and reflected on the hands-on experiences that helped shape their professional growth.
From the classroom to the workplace, these experiences provide students with valuable industry insight, strengthen their technical and problem-solving skills, and help prepare them for successful careers after graduation.
Congratulations to all of the students who presented and shared their work.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈
CT State Gateway celebrates the important contributions, experiences, and achievements of members of the Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ+) community throughout the year.
During the month of June, we join communities across the nation in recognizing Pride Month and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive campus where all students, faculty, staff, and community members are valued and respected.
In partnership with the Melton McAvay Center for Equity and Social Justice, we continue working to create spaces where individuals can explore and affirm their identities, share their stories, and find a sense of belonging.

Tyvonna already held a bachelor’s degree from UConn when she made the decision to return to school for nursing, but this journey looked very different from her first college experience.
While working, supporting herself, and helping care for family, she spent years completing prerequisites one class at a time, steadily working toward admission into CT State Gateway’s nursing program. Along the way, she built a career in healthcare and learned how to navigate school, work, and life on her own terms.
Now preparing to graduate, she sees this degree differently.
“This one feels like it’s truly mine,” she said.
