Elihu Athenaeum will be showing BASQUIAT on Thursday, February 28th. Join us at 7pm in Silliflicks!
Jean-Michel Basquiat started his career as a graffiti artist while still a teenager, and had gained world-fame by twenty-three -- quickly becoming a cultural hero to many young artists. The movie follows his career, which spans only eight years and ended by a drug overdose when he was only twenty-seven.

The Elihu Athenaeum is proud to be hosting Dr Charles Saumerez-Smith, CBE. Dr Saumerez-Smith is currently the Secretary and Chief Executive of the Royal Academy of Arts, London.
Join us this Monday, October 22nd in the JE Master's House, from 2:30-4:00pm for an intimate conversation about his career path and challenges facing museums today.
