Things I will be doing next year, but make it ✨MATH✨

Here are a few of the things I will be continuing to do in the 2026-2027 school year!

Stop, Think, Jot! is such a great way for kids to pause and think as they read. This anchor chart is referenced all year long and my kids challenge themselves to hit all the different categories!

One of my favorite areas of my classroom… our character trait/feeling wall! My students refer to this ALL. THE. TIME.

Making multiplication "fun" is easy with these multiplication and division puzzle pieces! Students have to find the match but some of the cards are of products, arrays, skip counting, etc. Comment "puzzle" for the link to these!

These math mats are one of my most used items in my classroom every year! I use them in math small groups and during intervention. I print them on bright paper and slide them into sheet protectors (or laminate) to reuse over and over again! Comment "mats" if you'd like the link to these!

Apples Away is such a fun getting to know you game! I love using this game to teach my expectations when it comes to our math and reading centers. We will practice playing this game, come back to the rug, debrief what went well, what could be better, then go back and play again!

In this game, students will race to get to the finish line while answering questions. Some of these questions are about themselves (favorite food) or about their feelings and thoughts about school, etc.

Such a fun way for students to get to know each other in a fun way!
