Binge alcohol intake has grown significantly in the US, especially in women. New research shows how binge drinking changes brain responses to stress and pleasurable rewards that are sex-specific. 📍 By Meg Dalton

New Yale research shows that the stress hormone cortisol doesn’t just kick in during tough moments — it actually changes the brain’s memory and emotion networks and makes emotional experiences more memorable.
