Interns will assist in the preparation, organization, marketing, management, and game day operations, managing the largest amateur multi-sport events in Connecticut! The positions are for experience and/or credit/hour requirements and do not include compensation.

The Connecticut Office of the Secretary of the State seeks interns passionate about educating voters and encouraging participation in the democratic process. The Office of the Secretary of the State works to provide a wide range of services for the people and businesses of Connecticut and is committed to promoting the importance of civic education and civic engagement across the state.

Senator Chris Murphy is seeking hard-working and detail-oriented college students with outstanding communication and time management skills. An ardent desire to help others is required. Interns will work closely with Senator Murphy’s Hartford staff and Connecticut constituents to attain a broad understanding of the interaction between citizens and their government.

Interns assist staffers with various administrative tasks, including answering
phones and sorting mail, and participate in more substantive activities, including drafting responses to constituent inquiries, attending meetings, press conferences, and other events, and drafting congratulatory letters and certificates for the staff and Senator Murphy.

This is a PAID opportunity. All interns will receive roughly $1,500, however this is subject to change dependent on the Senate budget, for the entire semester.

Through this prestigious opportunity, Allison will gain hands-on experience in congressional operations and public service. Her work will include supporting constituent communications, conducting legislative and policy research, tracking legislation and media coverage, supporting office operations, assisting with constituent services and Capitol and office tours, and many other duties.

Throughout these years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow into a stronger leader, collaborator, and advocate for community engagement and student development. I’m incredibly grateful for every mentor, friend, classmate, colleague, and family member who supported and encouraged me along the way.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership Development for an unforgettable two years. Being part of that office helped shape some of my most meaningful experiences in graduate school, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories, opportunities, and people who made it feel like home.

As this chapter closes, I’m excited for what’s ahead as I begin my new position as Program Coordinator for the Center for Teaching and Learning at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, learn, and make an impact in this next chapter.

Kyle Gauck is a congressional candidate in the second district of Connecticut. The campaign is looking to expand the team with interns and volunteers.

Currently looking for volunteers to assist with:
· Signature collection
· Door-to-door outreach
· Phone banking
· Attendance at Campaign Events and Town Halls

In addition, we have a few internship opportunities available, including:
